Apple Watch pre-orders began today, and all the variants that were ready to be shipped out on April 24 were quickly over. Now some Apple Watch variants are giving a 4 to 6 week estimates on delivery, including the stainless steel Apple Watches with modern buckle and leather loop bands. The stainless steel Apple Watch models with link bracelets had a June delivery date at launch, while some Apple Watch Edition models lists July delivery dates. In China, the Watch Edition range was already sold out in less than an hour.
Just hours before the pre-orders began, Apple announced that the supply of Apple Watch is going to be limited due to ‘unprecedented demand’. The company is for the first time taking orders only online. It is also encouraging users to book an appointment on the website or app before coming to the Apple Store to try on the Apple Watch to evade long lines outside its stores.

The Apple Watch 38mm starts at $349 and ranges up to $1,049 depending on band. The 42mm band costs $50 more. The Apple Watch Edition starting price is at $10,000 and will be available for trial only in select retail stores.
